The PPC Sub Club held our October monthly match on October 2nd with 12 shooters attending.  It was the last chance to get a practice in before attending the Vancouver Island Championships on Thanksgiving weekend.  We had one of our old shooters return to the game and travelled down from Kelowna to attend and he is expecting to return for more matches next year after he brushed off some of the rust from a couple of decades away from the game.

The PPC club performance at the Island Championships was again quite successful.  Our attendance was lower this year due to family commitments an medical reasons.  We only had 9 of our shooters attend, however, we came home with 26 individual medals, 15 gold, 7 silver and 4 bronze.  This is in addition to two 4-person team gold medals an one 1-2 person team gold medal.

On top of that one of our shooters took grand aggregate in the 1500 revolver match and a grand aggregate winner in the 1500 optical sight match.

The match was well done and everyone had a great time at the awards banquet on the Saturday evening.  The weather had to be the best shooting weather we have ever had since the match has been held at the Victoria Fish  & Game club.  A well done to the match organizers from the Colwood PPC club and the Vancouver Island Shooting Association for putting on the event.

Our last CPCA registered match for the year will be held this Sunday November 6th on range 3 and it looks like the weather will be much colder and wetter than last month.

Our last match for the 2022 shooting year will be held on December 4th.  This match again be our Christmas Turkey shoot.

Everybody stay safe and healthy out there, on and off the range.
