November 2016

The match was held on November 6. We had 7 shooters and our chief Range Officer. The shooters had a great time. The weather was good.

December 2016

The match was held on December 4, 2016. We had 6 shooters including a Range Officer. This was our year end PPC, Christmas turkey shoot and fun matches.

The fun matches included a quick draw with each participant shooting 2 balloons at 25 metres, as well as the fastest time for 5 balloons at 50 metres and an Oregon walk down.

We all had a lot of fun and a great day of shooting.

January 2017

As we say goodbye to 2016 and hello to 2017, we look back on our 33rd year and look forward to our 34th year of continuous PPC matches held on the first Sundays of every month.

Regrettably we had to cancel the first match of 2017, scheduled for January 1, due to the amount of snow in the area and the severe cold temperatures. We will be looking forward to improving weather conditions for the first Sunday in February.

2016 was a very successful year for the PPC club with several of our shooters travelling to other ranges in Canada and the United States for competitions. We are proud to confirm that Russell Sorsdahl, our chief range officer and instructor, and yours truly made the Washington State Governor’s list of the Top 20 PPC shooters in the state.  Russell has made the Top 20 list for 18 years and is looking towards making it a solid 20 years.

Twelve of our PPC shooters travelled to Victoria Fish & Game Range on Vancouver Island on thanksgiving weekend to compete in the 40th Annual Vancouver Island Championships, with our shooters gathering a total of 37 medals with 13 gold, 11 silver and 9 bronze medals in the individual competitions as well as 3 gold and 1 silver medals in the team competitions.

We are looking forward to another productive, safe and successful year in 2017.
