.22 Rifle has been busy lately, with a full house more often than not.

Besides our regular Monday evenings, we have accommodated the Outdoor Club at Abbotsford Christian School, and the Seabird Native Youth Group.

For Abby Christian, we did a training session with guns at the school which went extremely well. Thanks to David and Nikole for assisting. The youth were provided safety training on different firearms, and allowed to then shoot them at the range. The most popular among the youth was shotgun – instant results (at least with some shooters).

The Aboriginal Sport, Recreation and Physical Activity Partners Council joined us for two sessions. The weather prevented them from doing another two sessions as they were travelling from Agassiz.

Again, it is awesome when we can take the time with youth groups to introduce them to the shooting sports and gun safety. If any members would like to assist at these special events, please let me know. Our biggest group last year was a church youth group with 51 attendees. We cycled them through the outdoor and indoor ranges, instructing them both on handgun and rifle safety, and providing an opportunity to shoot both.
