LOCAL RIVERS

1) Chilliwack/Vedder: conditions are as they were in August, low and clear! Open for hatchery Coho 4/day; Chum 1/day; hatchery Rainbow Trout 4/day. No Pink or Sockeye retention.

2) Fraser: is closed to salmon fishing until further notice! Open for Sturgeon and hatchery Cutthroat Trout! Fred Helmer and the Salmon Society have organized a protest for the salmon closure. Please meet Saturday, September 2nd @ 8a.m. Island 22 Boat Launch. Let’s send a strong message to DFO and the Government to get our salmon stocks back in order!!

3) Chehalis: open for hatchery Coho 4/day; Chum 0/day; Chinook 4/day; 2 over 50cm.

4) Harrison: opening September 1st – March 31 for hatchery Coho. Closed for Chinook. (0/day) 2 Chum all year!

5) Squamish: open for Pinks 1/day limit. Rainbow Trout 4/day. Check your regulations

6) Seymour: Closed for fishing until further studies are completed regarding the repair to the slide.

7) Local Lakes: Kawkawa is slow due to heat and spawn. Ross still producing numbers of clean Rainbows and Dolly’s. Wallachian (Jones) Lots of little Rainbows. Harrison on east and west – slow! Will improve when the temperature drops!

8) Interior Lakes: Fishing well for those who can get to them!! Check accessibility
