The competition season has started with a bang. Zone competitions for the BC Winter Games were held in Whistler on Jan 3. We have 8 athletes who were chosen to represent the Fraser Valley and Fraser River zones. We look forward to seeing them compete at the winter games in the end of February. This weekend sees most of the athletes competing at the cadet zone races in Whistler. They will be competing for a spot at the provincial competition with the goal of making it to the nationals.

We were up in Vanderhoof this past weekend competing at BC Cup #1 and saw our team of 8 come home with 6 medals. All in all it has been a great start to the season and we will be busy competing all over oil the end of March. We have been practicing at the range most mondays and fridays except when we are away competing somewhere else.

The group has been growing and we often have 10-14 athletes out at a practice. They all like shooting at the Abby Range as it is the only place we train or compete where they can shoot under a roof.

Ski fast – Shoot straight,
