As many of you know, our indoor range has been in desperate need of a clean out! In fact, it’s now been over 3 years since it was last done. If you or your subclub enjoys shooting on the indoor range during these cold months, we need your participation!

We have decided to upgrade the sand in the backstop with rubber blocks to keep the dust factor down during use as well as make future clean outs much faster and cleaner.

The rubber blocks have arrived and we will be doing our range rebuild this coming weekend, Saturday, and if need be, Sunday.

We will provide tyvek coveralls, masks/respirators and gloves for everyone who can attend, start time is 9am Saturday, January 27th on the indoor.

We’ll be shovelling material out of the backstop into a Bobcat bucket, tearing the wood down and putting it in the dump bin, then replacing the sand with rubber blocks, and installing the new wood on the front. I’m hoping this can be done in one day, but it is a lot of work.

Please let Rob Engh (rob@activeshooter.ca) know ASAP if you can make it. This counts towards work bees for those who are members and of course can help with the waitlist if you are wanting to be a member.

Thanks and we hope to see you there!
